Food Bloggers, this is your calling!
In November 2016, young British-Indian entrepreneur, Mahbir Thukral launched the first international brand of Indian saffron together with the co-operative farmers of Kashmir, India.
In less than a year, Mahbir Premium Indian Saffron has flourished from being a small start-up to becoming the saffron of choice among professional chefs, and introducing more people around the world to the real taste of high quality saffron.
We’re a young, ambitious company at the beginning of our journey, and saffron is still an unfamiliar spice for most people. Those who know of saffron tend to use it in only a handful of dishes. Usually those dishes include paella, risotto, biryani, lussebulle and rasmalai.
With light floral and earthy tasting notes, saffron is a delicious and versatile spice that can be used in both sweet and savoury dishes, and definitely in more dishes than most people would think.
Already we have made a step forward with our innovative range of saffron-infused food products, which includes saffron-infused chocolate and fruit jams.
Now we are seeking the knowledge and creativity of food bloggers to help us develop even more delicious recipes using India’s most treasured spice. The recipes should be easy to make at home, and enable more people to discover the real taste of high quality saffron for themselves.
Are you up for the challenge?
What are we trying to achieve?
For many people, we’re introducing saffron for the first time. Some may have never heard of saffron before or have tried it in a dish once or twice but are generally sceptical to use it.
There are several issues that need to be addressed: knowing how to best prepare saffron; telling the difference between real and fake saffron; the actual taste profile; and the cost factor compared to other spices.
We believe that if people learn more about saffron, and how to best use the spice through inspiring recipes, eventually they’ll feel more confident about using it more often.
Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking ambitious and creative food bloggers who can help us to create mouth-watering recipes using Mahbir Premium Indian Saffron. Your recipes don’t have to be Indian. They can be inspired from any cuisine you like. They can include new flavour and ingredient combinations or simply be a classic recipe renewed with saffron.
We’re especially interested in food bloggers based in the European Economic Area countries but we welcome applications from all over the world.
What would you like me to do?
We’ll send you enough of our saffron to experiment, share and enjoy with family and friends.
We would like you to create at least one recipe using our saffron and to photograph the finished dish. We know that great ideas don’t come instantly, so we will give you some time to think about your dish but we would really appreciate it if you could share your completed recipe and photograph within six weeks of receiving the saffron.
How do I find out more?
Send us an e-mail to email@example.com. Send us your contact details, the URL of your food blog and any initial ideas you might have for a saffron-infused recipe. We’ll respond to all enquiries within seven business days.
